EDA Accepting Applications for Executives-in-Residence at Life Sciences Incubator in North Brunswick

TRENTON (June 30, 2015) – Building upon momentum generated by the success of the inaugural set of life sciences executives mentoring and advising emerging technology companies, the New Jersey Economic Development Authority (EDA) today announced that it is currently accepting applications for its second group of Executives-in-Residence. Developed in collaboration with BioNJ, the Executive-in-Residence program is designed for biotechnology executives currently in transition and hosted at the EDA’s Commercialization Center for Innovative Technologies (CCIT) in North Brunswick. 
“New Jersey is well known for its innovative people, and we look forward to attracting those individuals to mentor life sciences companies at the EDA’s life sciences incubator,” EDA CEO Melissa Orsen said. 
In partnership with BioNJ, the program involves appointed executives mentoring and coaching emerging life science companies through a series of weekly office hours. CCIT tenants seek advice from executives on a range of topics. Consistent with the needs of emerging life sciences companies, the program is seeking experienced applicants in a variety of business specialties, including business development, commercialization, partnering and licensing, health economics, regulatory, and reimbursement.

We thank the EDA for leading this valuable program.”
Among the program’s benefits, participating executives receive an office suite at CCIT; the title of Executive-in-Residence; exposure on the EDA’s website; and access to multiple technology networks in the state, including BioNJ. 
The application process is highly competitive and rolling, with appointments of new executives made on a quarterly basis.  To be eligible, executives must be full-time residents of New Jersey with legal working status in the United States. Qualified individuals must also be willing to work at CCIT at least one day a week to advise and mentor tenants. More information about the program, including eligibility, can be found at
