Christine Baker
Chief Legal and Strategic Affairs Officer

Christine Baker currently serves as the Chief Legal and Strategic Affairs Officer at the New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA).
Christine oversees several critical areas of focus, including Product Development, Marketing, Governance, and Legal Affairs, as well as overall responsibility for process improvement and ensuring that the NJEDA meets and exceeds our aspirations and obligations for transparency and accountability.
Prior to joining the NJEDA, she served as the Chief Compliance Officer and Ethics Liaison Officer at New Jersey Transit. Christine has also served in a variety of senior roles within the Office of the Attorney General, including Deputy Chief of Staff, Counsel and then Chief Counsel to the Attorney General. Christine also has significant experience in the private sector as both Executive Counsel at a large real estate services company and as a partner at a large law firm.
Christine earned a Juris Doctorate from Rutgers University School of Law, a Master’s degree from Montclair State University, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Rutgers University, and a Certificate in Urban Planning, also from Rutgers University.
