For over a decade, Preservation New Jersey has been a leader in advocating for a state historic tax credit in New Jersey. Our organization has published op-eds, written white papers, organized letter writing campaigns and testified many times on the economic power of historic tax credits. There is still more work to be done on the credit and PNJ will be there to make sure this becomes the valuable tool for preservation that it can be. Now with the recent important passage of the Historic Property Reinvestment Act in January 2021, we have a state historic tax credit program in New Jersey.
