Chief of Staff

Emma Corrado currently serves as the New Jersey Economic Development Authority’s (NJEDA) Chief-of-Staff. In this role, Emma works closely with NJEDA leadership to drive the Authority’s strategic direction and execute priority initiatives, while overseeing several core functions including Communications, Marketing and Public Affairs, Diversity Equity and Inclusion, Economics and Data Analytics, and Intergovernmental Affairs. 

Emma joined the NJEDA in March of 2022, where she worked as a Senior Advisor for Community Development. Immediately prior to that, Emma served as a Projects Specialist for U.S. Senator Cory A. Booker where she oversaw all projects, legislation, outreach, and stakeholder management related to veterans affairs, defense, homeland and national security, foreign policy, first responders, and gun control. As a Senate staffer, Emma authored several pieces of legislation including the Veterans Education and Transfer (VET) Extension Act, the Delivering Optimally Urgent Labor Access (DOULA) for Veterans Act, a resolution marking Women Veterans Day, and amendments to the annual National Defense Authorization Act. Before joining Senator Booker’s team, Emma worked for the U.S. Department of Justice at the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and the United Nations Economic and Social Council. 

Emma holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Health and Government from Franklin & Marshall College and a Master of Public Administration in Economic Development from Columbia University.
